Supplier quality management is an essential component of our company’s entire quality system. To further standardize supplier management and strengthen procurement quality control, Ningbo Yongjia initiated an annual assessment of Class A suppliers starting October 28, 2019.
The company has established an annual evaluation team composed of Zhou Lingling, Head of the Procurement Department; Wang Pengkun, Head of the Technology Department; and Wen Jianmin, Head of Quality Department No. 1, to conduct an annual review of suppliers listed in the “Qualified Supplier Directory” who provide critical materials. The review covers such aspects as quality control capabilities, production capacity, management competence, information technology capabilities, after-sales service, and system certification credentials. In addition to examining suppliers’ technical and managerial capabilities through written documentation, the evaluation team also conducted on-site visits and inspections to assess their production capacity and quality assurance capabilities. The evaluation team engaged in detailed discussions with supplier companies regarding product processes, production capacity, standards, and costs, and shared best practices between both sides in ensuring quality capabilities.
Through this annual assessment, Ningbo Yongjia has gained a deeper understanding of the quality control capabilities and production management of its supplier companies. At the same time, by sharing its insights into the shortcomings identified during the assessment, Ningbo Yongjia helps suppliers enhance their management levels, thereby laying a solid foundation for win-win cooperation and common development.
