To ensure the smooth progress of the preparation of the “2019 China Automotive Components Blue Book,” the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and the China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd. jointly organized and held the Kick-off Meeting for the Compilation of the “2019 China Automotive Components Blue Book” in Beijing on March 12. At the meeting, participants discussed the requirements and outline for the Blue Book’s compilation and made arrangements for subsequent work.

The meeting was chaired by Du Daofeng, Director of the Components Department of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers. In his speech at the meeting, Shi Jianhua, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, pointed out that the Blue Book on Automotive Components, compiled jointly by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and the China Automotive Engineering Research Institute, is currently the only blue book of its kind in the automotive industry. Over the past several years, with the support of industry experts and enterprises, the blue book has significantly improved both in terms of writing quality and industry influence. He expressed hope that this latest edition would further enhance the blue book’s contributions to driving the development of the automotive components industry.

Xia Guoqiang, Deputy General Manager of the Beijing Branch of China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd., delivered a speech at the meeting and made arrangements for subsequent work.

The “China Automotive Components Industry Development Report (2018-2019)” will be officially released to the industry in September 2019. During the preparation of the Blue Book, the editorial committee will invite vehicle manufacturers and component suppliers, research institutes, universities, and industry experts to hold special seminars, internal and external review meetings, and enterprise surveys. The preparation and research work on this book will, to a certain extent, enhance attention toward the automotive components industry, promote its development, foster a new industry ecosystem, and facilitate coordinated and healthy growth of the automotive industrial chain. This report holds significant guiding value for the development of China’s automotive components industry.
